"Hi Steve, While I understand your frustration, there may be some information you were not aware of. We had tried to reach out to you several times about a driver in the household and did not get a response until after the deadline set by our underwriters. After a phone call which ended pleasantly with your wife, the issue was resolved immediately. We do our best to gather information from customers, if it takes longer than usual to get a response, we have to work with the information we have at the time until we hear back. I apologize that your experience was not as expected. I strive to make each day a better experience for my staff and my customers. "

"Having PIP insurance from my employer apparently does not resonate with these people, as I am paying for redundant coverage, with State Farm Auto. I wonder if I get injured, can I make a claim with both insurance companies for the same incident. Seems fair since I have two coverages now. Also, when my GF's car was damaged recently they decided to only pay for SOME of the repairs, after 3 months + waiting for them to respond. Then they raised the rates after decades with no claims. The autobody shop warned us of these practices, as I am sure they have heard the saga before. Yesterday (2/14/24) they sent me a letter that was a bit threatening, stating auto insurance will be cancelled by 3/18/24 for non-payment, followed with consequences. Today they wished me happy birthday, by email. Maybe try a therapist. This was my first and last experience with State Farm. Sorry Jake, took my business elsewhere."

It seems that you are dissatisfied with their ability to provide you with evidence of medical insurance and a timely manner. I understand in the state of Michigan there are specific requirements for medical coverage on auto policies, and if you choose to opt out, you must demonstrate that you have adequate coverage elsewhere. Regarding the claim issue you mentioned I cannot comment on it as the person involved was not a customer at this office. I would like to clarify that it is required by law for a notice of cancellation to be sent to the customer when a bill remains unpaid. Lastly, I apologize if the birthday wish sent via email was not to your liking we understand that personal preferences may vary and we will take note of that for future interactions. Best of luck with your future insurance endeavors. "
